When did Earth Day start?
The first Earth Day was observed in 1970. College students, activists, politicians and environmental organizations around the United States participated in demonstrations and events. It led to the creation of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the passing of several environmental laws, like the Clean Air Act.
