Who's doing something to stop it?”Cincinnati police tell us a 16-year-old male and a 17-year-old male were shot at the intersection of Reading Road and East Seymour Avenue Tuesday afternoon. Officials say the teens have non-life-threatening injuries. Students walking out today are asking for help.“They’re now saying that they're scared. They're scared to come to school,” Jordan said.Students said this is not the first nearby shooting, and they do not want this to become the new normal.“I feel like as a community and as people, we have to come together because we can't keep hurting each other and killing each other because that's just not right,” Woodward High School student Alex Hardy said.In a statement, the Cincinnati Public School District said, “ This afternoon, approximately 100 students from Woodward Career Technical High School planned and participated in a peaceful walkout to protest the increase in violence in the community, before returning to class. Cincinnati Public Schools prioritizes the safety of students and staff. The protest lasted about 20 minutes and students returned to class. Cincinnati Public Schools supports students using their voices. No students were disciplined for participating in the walkout.”“What is everybody else doing to stop it? What are newscasters doing? What is our police enforcement doing,” Jordan said. “I know they're trying their best, but we can do more.”Police said they are currently looking for a 4-door maroon-colored vehicle in connection with the investigation.
