The team's head coach, Pat Kelsey, has Cincinnati ties.
Kelsey is a former Elder High School standout who also coached and played for the Xavier Musketeers. Last month, he agreed to a five-year contract extension with the College of Charleston, where he will be paid $1.1 million annually.

Where is Pat Kelsey from?
Kelsey grew up in Cincinnati. He and his basketball-loving family lived in Finneytown, and he attended Roger Bacon High School. For his senior year, Kelsey transferred to Elder High School, where he helped the Panthers basketball team win a Division I state title.
Where did Pat Kelsey play college basketball?
Kelsey played college basketball at the University of Wyoming. He later transferred to Xavier University in Cincinnati and played three seasons as a point guard from 1995-96 to 1997-98.
