Like Patrick Mahomes' father, Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Khalen Saunders was still talking smack about the Cincinnati Bengals after Super Bowl 57.
Saunders had a number of tweets about the Bengals after the Chiefs won last month's AFC championship rematch. But on Sunday night, he referred to them as the "funky-ass Bengals" as he suggested - per KSHB's Aaron Ladd - that many doubted Kansas City.
"Man, I remember being doubted," Saunders said. "I remember being doubted every game. I remember being picked against every game. I remember them saying the funky-ass Bengals was gonna beat us four times. I remember them saying we couldn't stop Jalen Hurts. I remember all of that s---. And now, they're gonna remember that I'm a two-time champ."
Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce also talked after the game about how the underdog mentality fired up their team.

The Chiefs are expected to play at home in the 2023 NFL kickoff game. Their opponent on Sept. 7 - to be announced at a later date - could be the Bengals.
