With the New York Jets losing to the Jacksonville Jaguars 19-3 on Thursday night, the Cincinnati Bengals have now clinched a playoff berth.
The two scenarios for the Bengals to clinch a playoff spot heading into this week is for either the Jets to lose to the Jaguars or Cincinnati to beat the Patriots.
Before the Bengals even step on the field at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, they will have already clinched a spot in the playoffs.
According to quarterback Joe Burrow, getting in the playoffs isn’t the goal. The focus is winning the division.
“The goal is always the division title,” Burrow said on Tuesday. “Obviously making the playoffs is great and we can clinch on Saturday, but that's not really the goal."

‘Adapt or die’: The urgency that got the Bengals out of their Super Bowl hangover
The Bengals right now are the No. 3 overall seed in the AFC. If they win out, they could move to the No. 2 seed as they still have to play the Bills and the Ravens. If the Bengals win out, they will need Kansas City to lose at least one game to get a shot at the No. 1 overall seed which would give them a bye in the first round of the playoffs.
