It was a big night for Ted Kremer at the Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields Miracle Ball on Friday in Fairfield.
Kremer, known by Cincinnati Reds fans for his recurring role as honorary batboy, received the 2022 Nuxhall Foundation Humanitarian Award.
And Kremer, who has worked for the Reds in fan accommodations, was named the manager of the Nuxhall Miracle League team that will travel to Pittsburgh to take on Reds Hall of Famer Sean Casey's Miracle League of the South Hills team from Pennsylvania.
In July, Casey's team became the first outside organization to visit the Nuxhall Miracle League Fields to take on their companion athletes in Fairfield.
