Police investigating after woman shot inside West Chester apartment

WE'VE CONFIRMED WITH POLICE - THAT A FEMALE WAS SHOT HERE ON FOUNTAINS BOULEVARD INSIDE AN APARTMENT. SHE WAS TAKEN TO WEST CHESTER HOSPITAL. POLICE JUST TOLD US THE VICTIM IS EXPECTED TO SURVIVE. OFFICIALS SAY WHEN THEY RESPONDED TO THIS SCENE JUST AFTER 1:30 THIS AFTERNOON, THERE WAS A FEMALE WITH A GUNSHOT WOUND. OFFICERS SAY IT ALL HAPPENED WHEN A MALE GUNMAN, WHO THEY BELIEVE DOES NOT LIVE HERE, SHOWED UP TO THIS APARTMENT, ENTERED THE WOMAN'S HOME, AND THAT'S WHEN POLICE BELIEVE HE SHOT HER. AGAIN, THAT WOMAN WAS TAKEN TO WEST CHESTER HOSPITAL FOR NON-LIFE THREATENING INJURIES. POLICE ARE NOW LOOKING FOR AN UNKNOWN BLACK MALE IN HIS 20S. HE MAY HAVE BEEN WEARING A WHITE T-SHIRT AND BLUE SHORTS WHEN HE FLED THE SCENE. >> WHEN THEY ARRIVED, THEY FOUND A WOMAN WOUNDED. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS ABLE TO TREAT HER. West Chester Police are investigating after a shooting inside an apartment Wednesday sent one person to the hospital.It happened around 2 p.m. when police responded to a call for a woman that was shot on the 6700 block of Fountains Boulevard, according to West Chester officials. Police said the shooting happened inside the victim's apartment.The victim, who was found suffering from a gunshot wound, was taken to West Chester Hospital. The victim is expected to survive, police said.Police said they are searching for an unknown Black male in his 20s who may have been wearing a white T-shirt and blue shorts when he fled the scene. Any information on the shooting should be sent to the West Chester Police Department.

West Chester Police are investigating after a shooting inside an apartment Wednesday sent one person to the hospital.

It happened around 2 p.m. when police responded to a call for a woman that was shot on the 6700 block of Fountains Boulevard, according to West Chester officials. Police said the shooting happened inside the victim's apartment.

The victim, who was found suffering from a gunshot wound, was taken to West Chester Hospital. The victim is expected to survive, police said.
