It's almost summer, and with that comes strawberry season!
In Ohio, strawberry picking season typically begins around the end of May and lasts through the end of June and early July.
Around the Cincinnati area, there are a few farms and orchards that allow you to pick your own strawberries to bring home and eat fresh, make jam, bake pies or use however you'd like.

You-pick strawberries in driving distance of Cincinnati
Blooms and Berries Farm Market: 9669 S. Ohio 48, Loveland.
Blooms and Berries' Strawberry Days began May 21 and will last through June 5. Activities include you-pick strawberries, a petting farm, farm games, a beer garden, bakery treats and more.
Field passes are $2.95 and berries are $4.25 a pound.
Hidden Valley Orchards: 5474 N. Ohio 48, Lebanon.
Strawberry picking begins in late May or early June. Be sure to check Hidden Valley Orchard's' social media for the most up-to-date information.
Irons Fruit Farm: 1640 Stubbs Mills Road, Lebanon.
Strawberries are expected in early June. Please call ahead to check on crop supply, weather conditions and hours at 513-932-2853.
McGlasson Farms: 5832 River Road, Hebron.
Strawberries are $4 a pound. Both you-pick fields and picked berries are available for visitors.
Red Barn Farm: 1295 Knoxville Road, Dry Ridge.
Strawberry season is early May to mid June. Bring your own bucket or handled container.
Prices are around $2.29-$3.29 per pound. The farm is open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m.- 8:30 p.m., or until all strawberries are picked for the day. Call before coming to get updates on quantities.
Stokes Berry Farm: 2822 Center Road, Wilmington.
Strawberry season is expected to begin late May or early June this year, depending on the weather.
