Hunter Greene pitches 10 1/3 innings without allowing a hit for Reds

Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Hunter Greene (21) pitches in the first inning against the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre on May 21 in Toronto.

Cincinnati Reds rookie pitcher Hunter Greene didn't allow a hit Saturday against the Toronto Blue Jays until the first batter he faced in the bottom of the 4th inning, adding to the 7 1/3 no-hit innings he threw in a loss to the Pirates in Pittsburgh on Sunday for a total of 10 1/3 consecutive innings between the two starts without giving up a hit.

Before Bo Bichette's solo home run in the 4th, the last hit Greene had allowed was to the Brewers' Tyrone Taylor - the last batter he faced in a start against Milwaukee at Great American Ball Park on May 10.

Greene bounced back from the Bichette homer to tie the game at 1 by retiring the next three batters, including two by strikeouts. He had five strikeouts through four innings in Toronto.
