Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto was among those congratulating former Reds and current Houston Astros manager Dusty Baker on his 2,000th win Tuesday night as a Major League Baseball manager.
Baker, in his third season with the Astros, is the 12th manager in MLB history to reach 2,000 wins.
Baker managed the Reds from 2008 to 2013. His first season as the team's manager was Votto's first full big-league season. (Votto finished second in National League Rookie of the Year voting.)
Last year, Baker returned to the World Series for the first time since 2002, when he managed the San Francisco Giants.
