The Foundry building in the old Macy's store Downtown is still under construction, but workers have already moved into the first finished office space.
International financial services firm Deloitte opened its new 30,000-square-foot office on the second floor of the Foundry in mid-December.
Deloitte was the first company to sign a lease at the building for space to accommodate more than 160 workers.
The officesshowcase contemporary artwork on the walls, communal and co-working spaces and individual offices equipped with the latest technology that employees can reserve using an app.
Next up: Turner Construction is expected to open 27,000 square feet of office space on the second floor of the Foundry in late March or early April, according to developer Cincinnati Center City Development Corp., or 3CDC.
Divisions Maintenance Group, a fast-growing facilities maintenance company, will follow with more than 100,000 square feet of office space on the second, third and fourth floors of the building on the southwest corner of Fifth and Vine streets by the end of the year.
When completed, the $51 million Foundry redevelopment will have more than 150,000 square feet of Class A office space, along with about 35,000 square feet of street-level retail and restaurant space.
Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse and Royce – a French brasserie featuring charcuterie, pâtés and other classic French dishes – are scheduled to open at the Foundry later this year.
