Icy roads causing major crashes, road closures early Thursday


Icy roads are making for dangerous conditions for drivers early Thursday morning as multiple crashes have been reported throughout the area.As of 5 a.m., a multi-car wreck closed 275 westbound between KY-17 and Dixie Highway. As of 5:40 a.m., a previous crash on 71/75 between Buttermilk Pike and I-275 has reopened.The ramp from 275 eastbound to 471 northbound has also been closed. Drivers can use the exit before onto KY-9 northbound, but use caution as that road can also be notoriously slick.Another serious crash has been reported at 471 southbound in Fort Thomas. A WLWT viewer says he saw a car roll over several times.
