You don't get a second chance to make a first impression, and there were many members of the Rams' defense that Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow apparently hadn't met before the start of Super Bowl 56.
So he introduced himself, of course. Literally.
NFL Films shared video Wednesday of Burrow meeting Rams linebacker Von Miller and safety Eric Weddle, and saying hello to defensive lineman Aaron Donald.
From @NFLFilms via Twitter:
Burrow and Weddle exchanged compliments during their conversation. Weddle later said he expects Burrow to get at least one ring.
"I was obviously impressed," Weddle said, per SI.com's Albert Breer. "I mean, you don't lead a team to the Super Bowl if you're not all about it, right? And I just love his mentality, I love his moxie. I love him. He's all ball and he's not into the social media B.S. He's not into the limelight. He's not into what everyone else thinks. He just silently goes to work, and it's refreshing to see. And obviously, I mean they're gonna be good for a long time. His moment wasn't tonight, but he'll get his moment."
Bengals owner and president Mike Brown said Wednesday at a pep Rally at Washington Park that Burrow "is a smart player and that shines through. He's accurate, he's tough as nails. We want to do some things to help him."
