In the final Ohio boys high school basketball media poll before the OHSAA tournament, three Greater Cincinnati teams had top 10 regular-season finishes.
Division I Elder remains at No. 6 entering the tournament as the No. 1 seed in the Southwest District. Coach Joe Schoenfeld's Panthers begin the postseason Friday against Milford at West Clermont. From there, a win would put them into a Monday game with neighborhood rival Oak Hills.

Should seedings hold, Elder could have a rematch with Turpin on Friday, Feb. 25. The Spartans are the only local team to have defeated the Panthers.
In Division II, Woodward (17-3) has advanced to No. 3 in the state behind Kettering Alter and frontrunner Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary. Paul McMillan IV just passed Basketball Hall of Famer Jerry Lucas on the state scoring list. The Bulldogs open tournament play Saturday night at Princeton against Bethel-Tate.
Taft advances one spot in Division III to No. 8 after an 11-8 finish. The Senators have played several bigger division schools during their campaign to prepare for the tournament. Coach Demarco Bradley's squad starts the postseason Saturday afternoon at Western Brown against East Clinton. Taft was a state semifinalist a year ago.
