Will the Bengals sign Tyler Eifert for the Super Bowl? Don’t bet on it

Cincinnati Bengals tight end C.J. Uzomah (87) and tight end Tyler Eifert (85) talk in the sideline during the Week 2 OTAs at the Cincinnati Bengals training facility in downtown Cincinnati on Tuesday, May 30, 2017.

Yes, Tyler Eifert is a free agent. And yes, he was tweeting about his former team, the Cincinnati Bengals, ahead of their Super Bowl LVI appearance against the Rams in Los Angeles.

Don't expect the Bengals to sign Eifert - Cincinnati's first-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft who played tight end for the Bengals through the 2019 season - to a one-day contract for the Super Bowl or anything like that. Eifert didn't play during this past season after the Jacksonville Jaguars declined his team option last February.

But it appears Eifert's fingerprints could be all over a potential C.J. Uzomah touchdown celebration.

The Bengals' starting tight end, who injured his knee during the AFC Championship but hopes to play in the Super Bowl, received a tweet from Eifert suggesting that he bring back an end-zone celebration from 2018 in which Eifert appeared to be chugging a beer.

The celebration would make sense for Uzomah, who celebrated his huge game in a Bengals' win in September by drinking a fan's beer.

Uzomah's reply to his teammate with the Bengals for five seasons? "You animal. DONE."
