Batavia man sentenced to 25 years for two armed bank robberies



CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A Batavia man was sentenced Tuesday to 25 years in prison for robbing two Hamilton County banks in 2015. Brice Felix was found guilty of bank robbery, armed bank robbery and use of a firearm by a federal jury.

First, Felix robbed the Cincinnatus Savings and Loan on Springdale Road on Feb. 4. He jumped out of some bushes as two employees entered the bank in the morning. He forced them to open the vault. He tied their hands behind their backs and got away with cash.

On June 27, Felix robbed the Cheviot Savings Bank on Stone Drive in Harrison. He surprised a maintenance man as he went through the back door of the bank. Felix was wearing a mask and holding a gun.

Felix held his gun to the maintenance man's head and demanded he open the vault. After learning on bank tellers can open the vault, he zip-tied the maintenance man's hands and feet and waited for the tellers. He then ordered them to open the vault. Felix got away with cash.

Officers arrested Felix two years to the day after the first robbery.

A federal jury convicted him in July 2019.
