B.J. Hill’s interception of Mahomes sets up touchdown

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (15) throws a pass in the first quarter during the AFC championship NFL football game, Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022, at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.

The first interception in 132 career pass attempts in AFC Championship games for Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was batted in the air and caught by Bengals defensive lineman B.J. Hill.

"It's now easily the biggest play of the game! You know how rare that is? A Mahomes interception?!" CBS color analyst Tony Romo said of Hill's pick.

Hill's interception set up Bengals receiver Ja'Marr Chase's 2-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Joe Burrow late in the third quarter. The Bengals tied the game on Burrow's toss to Trent Taylor on a 2-point conversion.
