Cincinnati Bearcats basketball will dip into their rich history for uniform inspiration for two American Athletic Conference games next month.
In paying homage to the program's teams from the 1970s, and head coach Gale Catlett's three consecutive NCAA Tournament bids (1975-77) in particular, UC will wear throwback style uniforms for the Feb. 3 and Feb. 26 games against Memphis and South Florida, respectively.

The uniforms feature white tops and shorts, are trimmed in red and are most notable for script text that reads "The Cats" on the front chest.
Unfortunately for fans, the jerseys won't be for sale. Select tops jerseys will be auctioned off at the Red and Black Gala later this spring, according to a UC news release.

The Feb. 26 game will be a "red out" and also serve as senior night for the Bearcats.
Cincinnati moved to 14-5 overall and 4-2 in the American Athletic Conference with a 90-69 win Thursday against Tulsa.
