Winter weather has finally arrived in Greater Cincinnati.
Monday is starting out with temperatures in the mid-20s and wind chills in the teens.
Highs this week will range between the mid-40s and mid-20s and we could see our first notable snow accumulations of the season.
There is a 60 percent chance of snow on Thursday. It will be cold enough for the precipitation to all be snow, according to the National Weather Service, but it is too early to give specific snowfall amounts for places, forecasters said.
Friday will be the coldest day of the week before temperatures start to rise on Saturday.
The Ohio River level is also high with a peak expected just below minor flood stage on Wednesday morning. The river was at 45.26 feet at 6 a.m. Monday and was expected to crest at 50 feet early Wednesday.
High river levels are affecting at least a couple of roads Monday morning. Issues were reported at the California Woods Nature Preserve in Cincinnati and at Kentucky 1566 or Oneonta Road in Melbourne in Campbell County.
