City of Reading emergency dispatch to change in the New Year

The Hamilton County Communications Center will manage the emergency dispatching for the police department.


The city of Reading is announcing effective Jan. 1, The Hamilton County Communications Center will manage the emergency dispatching for the police department. The calls to 911 will remain the same, as those calls have always been directed to HCCC. Now they will no longer transfer you to Reading dispatchers. You can also call them directly at 513-825-2280. If you call 513-733-4122, when there is a clerk on duty, the Reading Police Department will answer your call. If not on duty, the call will be forwarded to the HCCC, and they will handle the call.
