For the fourth year in a row, the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden has won USA TODAY and 10Best's reader's choice poll for Best Zoo Lights 2021.
The zoo beat out competition from the Toledo Zoo, which came in second, and the Colorado Springs Zoo, which came third. A panel of experts partnered with 10Best editors to pick the initial zoo nominees and the top 10 winners were determined by popular vote.
The Cincinnati Zoo has previously won the contest in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
"During the annual PNC Festival of Lights at the Cincinnati Zoo, some four million LED lights illuminate the night," the winning entry on the Cincinnati Zoo from 10Best reads. "Visitors can meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus, watch a Wild Lights show on Swan Lake, drool over a gingerbread village, munch on s'mores or ride the North Polar Express train."

The 39th annual PNC Festival of Lights began Nov. 19 and will run until Jun. 9.
In addition to 4 million LED lights at the zoo, visitors can ride the North Polar Express train ride, watch the Wild Lights show on Swan Lake or eat at one of the two S'mores-n-More stands.
The festival of lights runs each day from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the North Polar Express train ride beginning at 2:30 p.m. The event is included with regular zoo admission.
