High school bowling is here. Teams in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky have begun their seasons, which they hope culminate in titles next February and March.

Here is a look at some of the top bowlers to watch in the area.
Ohio boys
Jared Littelmann, St. Xavier – The senior was first-team All-Greater Catholic League- South with a 212.5 average last year through 43 games, including a high game of 290. Through five games this year, he is averaging 206.4
Connor Littelmann, Oak Hills – He averaged 186 in 51 games with a high of 257.
Ogden Nijikowski, Mason – He is averaging 210 so far this season.
Dylan Wood, Middletown – He averaged 195 in 35 games last year with a high of 254, and was second-team All-Ohio in Division I. He finished ninth in the state singles tournament.
Ian Carpenter, Reading – The reigning Cincinnati Hills League Player of the Year led the league with a 208 average last year in 23 games with a high of 276 and has a 227 through two games this season.
Ryan Johnson, Colerain – The senior was first-team All-Greater Miami Conference last year, averaging 213 in 54 games with a high of 278
Terrance Johnson Jr., Northwest – The junior was first-team All-Southwest Ohio Conference last year. He led the league with a 209 average.
C.J. Herbers, Elder – The junior was second-team All-GCL-South, averaging 202 last year with a high of 266. He is averaging 200 in the first week of the new season.
Cameron Mays, West Clermont – The senior was second in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference last year with a 214 average and first-team all-league.
Ohio girls
Rebecca Ochs, Seton – The senior was first-team all-Ohio in Division 1 after finishing fifth in the state singles tournament. She was first-team All-Girls Greater Catholic League after leading the league in average with 196.2 and is leading the league again so far this season.
Alli Shattuck, St. Ursula – The junior averaged 186 last season and was first-team All-GGCL.
Lilly Arvin, Hamilton – The senior was first-team All-GMC last season. She was second in the league in average with 188.4.
Ruby McAninch, Colerain – The senior was first-team All-GMC last season. She was third in the league in average last year with 187.5. She placed 52nd in state singles last year.
Darby Campbell, West Clermont – The senior is the reigning ECC Player of the Year after averaging 198 last season with a high game of 268.
Northern Kentucky boys
Jacob Billiter, Simon Kenton – The senior finished second in the Region 5 singles tournament last year, and finished 16th in the state tournament. He averaged 194 for the season and also led the Pioneers to a share of the Division I conference title.
Charlie Wells, Campbell County – The senior finished third in the Region 5 singles tournament and 18th in the state tournament. He helped the Camels finish second in the regional team tournament and reach the state tournament. He averaged 189 for the season.
Koby Brewer, Pendleton County – The junior helped lead the Wildcats to the Region 5 team championship. He finished fourth in the regional singles tournament and 22nd in the state tournament. He averaged 191 in the regular season and helped PC to a share of the conference title.
Kyan Brewer, Pendleton County - The freshman helped lead the Wildcats to the Region 5 team championship. He won regional singles tournament and 24th in the state tournament. He averaged 184 in the regular season and helped PC to a share of the conference title.
Dylan Inyart, Ryle – The sophomore won the Region 6 singles championship and finished 13th in the state tournament. He averaged 193 in the regular season.
Andrew Ketron, Cooper – The sophomore averaged 194 in the regular season. He finished second in the Region 6 singles tournament to Inyart and finished 30th in the state.
Northern Kentucky girls
Tatum Audas, Campbell County – The senior is the top returning bowler from a Camels team that won the NKAC title, Region 5 championship and reached the state semifinals. She averaged 184 last season and finished 10th in the regional singles tournament.
Jade Combs, Cooper – The senior is the top returning bowler from the 2021 state team champions. The Jaguars also won the Region 6 championship. She averaged 176 last season. In singles, she finished fourth in the regional tournament and 23rd in the state.
Emmee Depenbrock, Conner – The senior averaged 175 last season. She finished third in the Region 6 singles championship and 16th in the state.
Annabelle Wilson, Simon Kenton – The senior finished fourth in the Region 5 singles tournament last year and 11th in the state tournament. She averaged 184 for the season.
