The Cincinnati Bengals elevated tight end Thaddeus Moss to their active roster from the practice squad ahead of Sunday's showdown with the Pittsburgh Steelers at Paul Brown Stadium, the team announced Saturday.
The former LSU teammate of Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow could make his National Football League regular-season debut on Sunday.
Moss, 23, is the son of Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss. His sister, Sydney, was a star basketball player at Thomas More University.
The Bengals claimed Moss off waivers in April. He signed with Washington Football Team as an undrafted free agent in May 2020, but told reporters the Bengals and New England Patriots had expressed interest in him.
Moss also said at the time that the fact that he was not among a record-tying 14 LSU players selected in the 2020 NFL Draft "was definitely a slap in the face."
