The Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association recently released its All-Ohio boys and girls soccer teams for the 2021 season.
In total, Greater Cincinnati had 16 first-team All-Ohio selections. On the boys side, Wyoming defender Gus Peacock was first-team All-Ohio in Division II and the Southwest District Division II Player of the Year after helping lead Wyoming to a state championship. Cincinnati Hills League Player of the Year Will Breit was first-team in Division III after leading the league in points, goals and assists.
St. Xavier had the best boys Division I finish in the area, reaching the regional championship game. Senior Tanner Creech was first-team All-Ohio after a 17-goal, 39-point campaign. Creech was the GCL-South Co-Player of the Year along with Moeller's Brock Kiper, who was also first-team All-Ohio.
On the girls side, Mount Notre Dame's Peyton Kohls was the Ohio Player of the Year in Division I. The junior led the GGCL in goals (27) and points (67) to go with 13 assists and helped the Cougars win the program's first state soccer championship.
Waynesville's Samantha Erbach was first-team in Division III after leading the Spartans to their first state championship in any team sport. The sophomore was the Southwestern Buckeye League's player of the year after registering a league-leading 36 goals and 84 points.
Greater Cincinnati had two coaches of the year. Madeira boys head coach Tony Ripberger won it in Division III after leading the Mustangs to an 18-3-1 record, a CHL title and a regional championship. Indian Hill's Bryan Daniel was the Division II coach of the year. The Braves were 14-3-4 and went to the district finals.
