Titans’ David Long intercepts Rams’ Stafford for first NFL pick

Former Winton Woods High School standout David Long Jr. of the Tennessee Titans was the beneficiary of pressure teammate Jeffery Simmons applied to Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and a bad decision Stafford made with a pass he threw to Long in trying to avoid a safety during the second quarter Sunday night.

Long made the interception at the Rams' 8, and returned it two yards to their 6 - setting up the Titans' first touchdown of the game 

It was Long's first career interception in three NFL seasons, all with the Titans. Long was a sixth-round pick of the Titans from West Virginia in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Long is among 20 players on NFL rosters from Greater Cincinnati high schools.
