The Ravens are signing former Bengals offensive tackle Cedric Ogbuehi days after starting right tackle Patrick Mekari suffered an ankle injury during Baltimore's 41-17 loss to Cincinnati, according to a report Wednesday via Twitter form NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
Garafolo added that Ogbuehi is being signed to the Ravens' practice squad with the expectation that he'll be elevated soon to the active roster. The Ravens have a bye in Week 8.
Ogbuehi was released earlier this week by the Seattle Seahawks. He played in one game this season, his second with Seattle.
The Bengals' first-round draft pick in 2015 spent his first four NFL seasons with Cincinnati. He played one season for the Jacksonville Jaguars before signing in March 2020 with Seattle.
The Ravens' rematch with the Bengals is scheduled for Dec. 26 at Paul Brown Stadium. The Week 16 game could be a candidate to be flexed from its scheduled kickoff of 1 p.m.
