Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow typically addresses the media on Wednesday's ahead of the upcoming game. After being taken to the hospital to be evaluated for a possible throat contusion on Sunday night, Burrow was unable to talk to reporters because he has been advised to talk as little as possible at the moment. Head coach Zac Taylor said his quarterback is on "voice rest."
Burrow won't be limited in practice due to his throat conditions and according to wide receiver Tee Higgs, he sounded and acted normal when he was in the huddle during the walk-through period.
"Everything is going good," Taylor said of Burrow. "We're just trying to limit what he has to say and how he's going to use his voice. It kind of works out because we're going on the road and dome will be loud. One of the ways to manufacture what it's going to be like in the huddle is to whisper in the huddle. He's on voice rest a little bit and we still get something accomplished with what we're going to face in Detroit."
After the 25-22 loss to the Packers, Burrow was taken to a local hospital and on Monday, Taylor said his quarterback was in "good shape." It's unclear what play it was that Burrow injured his throat but he did take two massive hits in the loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Joe Burrow may have to change his style after Sunday
Following the hit that sent fans in attendance and the thousands watching the game on T.V. into a frenzy, much has been made about the style of play Burrow will have moving forward.
Burrow likes to scramble out of the pocket and make plays with his legs but after missing a large part of his rookie season after tearing his ACL and MCL, his coach wants him to be smart when assessing a situation that involves if he should keep running or end the play.
"One of our team rules is protect the team," Taylor said. "Joe protects the team by protecting himself. There is a time to put your head down and go get that first down. Then there are some times we just have to assess the situation and be smart and keep us on pace for the next drive. It may mean in a sense and this would be very hard for a quarterback to do conceding the down a little bit on a third down. It’s just keeping us on pace for the rest of the game. Having him available so he can lead this team to victory. That’s just one of the things he has to balance. I think he has done a really good job of that. He always takes each new situation as its own and learned from it and try to improve it for the next time."
Burrow has completed 104 passes for 1,269 yards and 11 touchdowns so far this season. He's been sacked 14 times and has completed 51.6 percent of his passes when pressured.
