Local staples Braxton Brewing Co. and LaRosa's Family Pizzeria are collaborating and creating a new way to connect the two brands together: lager.
The brands have created Braxton's LaRosa's Lager which will be available at LaRosa's pizzerias that serve beer on tap and at all Braxton Taprooms.
The beer will be available following an official tapping party at the Braxton Covington Taproom Oct. 21.

Braxton's LaRosa's Lager is a "clean lager with a flavorful bitterness" at 5% ABV and was "carefully crafted" to pair well with LaRosa's family recipe sauce, according to a release.
A portion of each Braxton's LaRosa's Lager served will support the LaRosa Family Foundation, helping to invest in local programs that offer activities focused on youth development through education, athletics and life-skill training.

"It’s important to us that we serve our community with food and experiences that bring them joy. For us, food has always been a natural outlet," LaRosa's CEO Mark LaRosa said in a release. "We’re proud to be able to offer a lager made especially for LaRosa’s, and at the same time, work with another strong, local family brand to do so."
The official tapping party 6-9 p.m. Oct. 21 for the new beer is open to the community and includes free slices of pizza from LaRosa's pizza truck and a free co-branded glass to the first 100 people who arrive.
