If you want to vote on Nov. 2 and aren't registered, then take note.
The deadline for voter registration in Ohio is Monday, Oct. 4. If you don't register, your vote will not count.
So here’s what you need to know:
When is the deadline to register to vote on Nov. 2 in Ohio?
On Monday, county boards of elections will be open until 9 p.m. that day to accept registrations.
If you aren't registered, if you have changed your name or if you are registered under an old address, you can register online at olvr.ohiosos.gov. To register online, you need an Ohio driver’s license or Ohio identification card number.
You can register online until 11:59 p.m. Monday.
You can also register at your local Bureau of Motor Vehicles and public library during normal business hours.
Am I already registered to vote in Ohio?
More than 8 million Ohioans are registered to vote already, including 590,000 in Hamilton County. You can check to see if you are registered at voterlookup.ohiosos.gov. Make sure you use your full legal name.
If you don't have either your driver's license or ID card number, don't worry. You can still register to vote, but you will need to fill out a paper form and send it to your county board of elections.
Early voting in Ohio starts on Tuesday, Oct. 5.
