A woman was killed early Saturday morning in a wrong-way crash on I-71, according to Cincinnati Police.
The crash happened around 2:00 a.m. near the Martin Luther King Drive Exit.
Police said Shyanne Dale, 22, was driving a 2015 Kia Optima headed north on the southbound lanes of I-71 when she crashed into a semi-truck.
The 22-year-old sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
A front-seat passenger in the Kida Optima, a 23-year-old male, sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash and was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition.
The driver of the semi-truck was not injured, police said.
Investigators said Dale was not wearing a seatbelt in the crash. The passenger in the Kia and the semi-truck driver were wearing seatbelts.
Excessive speed does not appear to be a factor in this crash. Investigators have not yet determined if Impairment was a factor in the crash.
