A vehicle was located in the Great Miami River at Heritage Park in Colerain Township on Sunday, but no one was found inside, according to the Colerain Fire Department.
The incident was first reported on the fire department's Twitter page around 10:30 a.m. Officials said the vehicle was checked but no occupants were located.
Emergency responders were waiting for water levels to drop before removing the vehicle, the tweet said.
Officials said the Colerain Police Department is investigating. A police spokesperson was unable to provide an update Sunday afternoon.
