Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase to return to New Orleans for Bengals-Saints

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase (1) carries the ball as Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (9) blocks in the first quarter during an NFL divisional playoff football game against the Tennessee Titans, Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.

The Cincinnati Bengals announced Thursday night that they're scheduled to have a record-setting five primetime games during the 2022 NFL season. But one of their most anticipated non-primetime games on the road will be against the New Orleans Saints in Week 6, as former LSU quarterback Joe Burrow and receiver Ja'Marr Chase return to the state (Louisiana) in which they starred in college and the venue in which they won a national title.

Burrow, Chase and the Bengals are scheduled to play in New Orleans' Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Oct. 16 at 1 p.m. on CBS.

In the College Football Playoff National Championship on Jan. 13, 2020, Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence helped the Tigers to a 17-7 lead in the second quarter, but Burrow rallied his Tigers to a 42-25 win. Last September, Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars led the Bengals 14-0 at half, before Burrow rallied Cincinnati to a 24-21 win.
