Eugenio Suárez hit the 200th home run of his Major League Baseball career during the 7th inning of the Seattle Mariners' 6-2 loss Monday night to the Toronto Blue Jays.
The homer - a solo shot off of relief pitcher Trevor Richards - was the seventh of the season for the third baseman, who hit 189 HRs over seven seasons with the Cincinnati Reds from 2015 to 2021.
Social media reactions:
In March, the Reds traded Suárez and left fielder Jesse Winker to the Mariners for starting pitcher Justin Dunn, outfielder Jake Fraley, left-handed pitcher Brandon Williamson and a player to be named later - later announced as right-handed pitcher Connor Phillips.
Suárez is hitting .206 - with 18 walks and 47 strikeouts - in 146 plate appearances for Seattle.
