Greater Cincinnati typically has had its fair share of track and field champions over the years. Here is a list of this year's 2022 champions.

The Ohio High School Athletic Association Divisions I through III track and field meets are Friday, June 3, and Saturday, June 4. The Kentucky High School Athletic Association's Class 1A, 2A and 3A meets are Thursday, Friday and Saturday respectively.
KHSAA 3A
Brooklyn Hammons, Grant County
She broke her own state record again with a 145-foot-3-inch discus throw to win a KHSAA state championship June 4.
She also won the shot put for the second-straight year.
KHSAA 2A
Jake Welch, Highlands
The senior came from behind in the homestretch to win the 2A 400-meter event for the second straight year with a time of 49.31.
Rilen Pinkston, Highlands
He won the pole vault event in Class 2A with a jump of 13-feet-6-inches.
KHSAA 1A
Natnael Weldemichael, Beechwood
The senior won the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs in the Class 1A meet June 2 at the University of Kentucky. He posted a time of 4:23.25 in the 1600 and a 9:52.79 in the 3200.
Maggie Buerger, Walton-Verona
The senior won the shot put and discus in the KHSAA Class 1A meet June 2, setting a state record in the discus event with a 128-11.
Bishop Brossart girls track and field team
The girls won the KHSAA Class 1A team meet, capturing 15 medals overall. Bishop Brossart finished with 104 total points, over double the total of team runner-up Fort Campbell (41.66).
Lexi Braun, Bishop Brossart
Braun won the 400 with a time of 1:01.66 on June 2. She was also part of the Mustangs' state-champion 4-x-400 relay with Hannah Kramer, Emma Bezold and Sophie Neufelder and the 4-x-200 relay with Kaitlyn Kramer, Hayley Hickman and Kramer.
Bishop Brossart won another relay state crown in the 4-x-800 with Emma Bezold, Izzy Hummel, Amy Klocke and Claire Curtsinger taking top honors with a time of 10:05.82.
In the field events, Bishop Brossart's Chloe Hein won a state championship in the long jump by more than a foot, finishing with a 17-4.
Maddie Neary, Lloyd Memorial
Neary won the high jump June 2 at the University of Kentucky with a 5-0, edging out runner-up Cassidy Cline from St. Henry (4-10).
Grady Shay, Walton-Verona
Shay won a 1A state title in the 110-meter hurdles on June 2, finishing in 15.14. He also finished third in the 300-meter hurdles, leading the local field in the event and helping Walton-Verona finish second in the overall team standings.
Bishop Brossart boys 4-x-800
The Mustangs had a relay championship on the boys' side, too, with Ryan Branch, Ryan Clines, Parker Losure and Nathan Ruth winning a 4-x-800 relay title in 8:26.39.
Jake Davidson, Lloyd Memorial
Davidson took home a 1A state title in the pole vault with a 14-0.
OHSAA Division I
Loveland boys 4-x-800
Loveland won Cincinnati's first state championship of the OHSAA state track and field tournament in Columbus Friday afternoon when the Tigers' relay team of J.P. Tew, Cayden Dyer, Brady Steiner and Ryan Chevalier took the top spot on the podium in the 4-x-800 relay with a time of 7:45.34.
OHSAA Division III
Summit Country Day boys 4-x-200
The SIlver Knights team of Braeden Austin, Oren Jenkins, Oscar Loehrer and Matthew Schuler broke the school record for the second straight day, winning the 4-x-200 meter relay in a time of 1:29.40.
