For the third straight night, the Cincinnati Reds and the Arizona Diamondbacks will sit through a rain delay.
The Reds announced Wednesday's game will not begin on time with rain and potential severe weather in the forecast. The next update is expected to be provided around 6:55 p.m.
There was a 13-minute rain delay before the Reds' 7-0 win on Monday and the game was called after seven innings following another 46-minute delay. During Tuesday's game, a 14-8 Reds win, there was a 63-minute delay before the start of the eighth inning.
Neither team took batting practice before Wednesday's game with some rain showers passing through the area.
In addition to the rain delay announcement, the Reds scratched Brandon Drury from the lineup with right Achilles soreness. Alejo Lopez replaced Drury in the lineup, batting second and playing second base.
The Reds have sat through six weather delays this season, totaling three hours and 59 minutes.
