

Covington Police are on scene involving a barricaded person at a house on Wednesday night, officials said.According to officials, officers were called to the 1300 block of Garrard Street for a report of a person threatening suicide inside their home. Officers could smell gasoline coming from the house and the Fire Department was called to stage nearby.Officials said a man was seen inside the home with a weapon but he refused to come out and talk to police. During the standoff, officers saw smoke and fire coming from the home.
