Late July is usually the most logical time to freshly evaluate the league, roster constructions largely finished and injuries generally at a minimum. Of course, the NFL always has variables – two of the major X-factors right now being the eligibility of Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson and the status of San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo, who seems likely to be traded in the coming weeks. But most clubs have a clearer picture of what they are and/or what they hope to be in 2022.
