Southbound I-75 closed due to serious-injury crash near State Route 63


First responders are at the scene of a crash blocking traffic on southbound Interstate 75 in Monroe Thursday afternoon. According the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a car was traveling westbound on State Route 63 when it crossed the northbound I-75 lanes, hit the wall and landed in the southbound lanes. Monroe Police say it happened at 3:20 p.m., and the car rolled over at least once, entrapping two people. OSHP says two people in the car have serious injuries. Southbound I-75 is closed at State Route 63 while police handle the scene. The left lane on northbound I-75 is also blocked.Police say Careflight and Air Care are responding.
