Right-handed pitcher José Acuña retired all 12 batters he faced in a relief appearance Sunday for the Daytona Tortugas, the Low-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, against the St. Lucie Mets.
Acuña, 19, was acquired along with minor-league outfielder Hector Rodriguez by the Reds in last week's trade of outfielder Tyler Naquin and minor-league pitcher Phillip Diehl to the New York Mets.

Last week, shortstop Edwin Arroyo, among the prospects acquired from the Seattle Mariners for starting pitcher Luis Castillo before the MLB trade deadline, had a two-run double and two walks in his debut for the Tortugas.
