For the first time since 2018, the Oak Hills Highlands are 1-0 to start a season. After a back-and-forth night, Oak Hills took the final lead with 4:45 left in the fourth quarter courtesy of an eight-yard run by quarterback Jaxon Schreiber. Oak Hills had taken a 17-13 lead seconds into the final quarter before coughing it back up on a 55-yard pick six from Karson Kidd. Schreiber sealed the win with 58 seconds left on a 29-yard run. Schreiber rushed 16 times for 121 yards, but it was Demar Parker Jr. that led with 121 yards on 21 carries with a score. Through the air, Schreiber was 10-17 for 118 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Oak Hills will kickoff its nine-game conference at Sycamore next while week while Turpin will try to avoid going 0-2 for the first time since 2017 with a visit from Kings.
