Spotty Saturday showers, storms Sunday

Weekend weather outlook: Spotty Saturday showers, storms Sunday

A.M. UNTIL 11:00 P.M. TONIGHT. WE KNOW THAT THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO WILL WANT TO BE DOWN THERE. THERE’S SO MUCH GOING ON. THE BEARCATS GAME WILL BE TOP OF MIND FOR A LOT OF FANS. WE HAVE -- KATIE: WE HAVE ISOLATED SHOWERS BUT MOST OF US STAY DRY. THAT IS GOOD FOR A LOT OF US WHO HAVE OUTDOOR PLANS. SUNSHINE THROUGH THE MIDDAY HOURS THEN MORE CLOUD COVER FOR THE SECOND HALF OF SATURDAY. SOUTH DEARBORN IS SEEING SUNSHINE AND HIGH CLOUDS. THEIR HUMIDITY, IF YOU STEP OUTSIDE YOU WILL NOTICE THAT IT FEELS A LOT DIFFERENT. WE HAVE A SURGE IN HUMIDITY COMING FROM THE SOUTH THAT WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE WEEKEND. ANYWHERE THAT YOU’RE SEEING GREEN ON THE MAP IS WHERE THE AIR IS FEELING A LITTLE STICKY. WE ARE LOOKING AHEAD TO THE TEMPERATURES AROUND 78, BUT PROBABLY NOT GOING TO FEEL AS NICE AS IT COULD BECAUSE IT’S GOING TO BE HUMID. ISOLATED SHOWERS ARE POSSIBLE TOWARDS THE SECOND HALF OF SATURDAY, BUT MOST OF US STAY DRY. OVERNIGHT, CHANCES FOR SHOWERS WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID 60’S. I MENTIONED THE ACTIVE WEEKEND, A VERY ACTIVE PATTERN TODAY AND TOMORROW. MOST OF THE WET WEATHER, THE STORMS STAY TO THE SOUTH PULLING THE SOUTHERLY MOISTURE INTO OUR AREA. THIS SYSTEM OVER IOWA IS HEADED IN OUR DIRECTION TOMORROW. THESE TWO THINGS WILL WORK TOGETHER TO RAMP UP OUR STORM CHANCES INTO SUNDAY. TODAY, ISOLATED CHANCES WITH MOISTURE, BUT WHEN THE LOW APPROACHES WE WILL SEE MORE SHOWERS AND STORMS. TOMORROW IS A WEATHER IMPACT DAY BECAUSE THE STORM COVERAGE PICKS UP. TEMPERATURES WILL BE SEASONABLE AROUND 81 BUT HUMID, SO FEELING MORE SUMMERLIKE IN THE AFTERNOON. THE RAIN TRENDS TODAY AND TOMORROW, YOU CAN SEE THE CLOUD COVER THIS MORNING, ANYTIME AFTER 12:00 YOU CANNOT RULE OUT A STRAY WITH MOST OF US STAYING DRY. OVERNIGHT, ISOLATED SHOWERS WITH CLOUDS STAYING WITH US. IT IS AROUND NOON THAT WE START TO SEE CHANCES FOR STORMS RAMPING UP. AROUND 12:00 WE ARE LOOKING AT WAVES OF SHOWERS AND STORMS TO FROM THE WEST. NOTICE HOW THROUGH 3:00. BETWEEN 3:00 AND 6:00 WE COULD SEE THUNDERSTORMS, ONE OR TWO BECOMING STRONG. THE SEVERE THREAT WILL BE LOW. MAYBE PACKING A PUNCH WITH CORES OF HEAVY RAIN AND WIND. CONTINUED OFF AND ON RAINFALL THROUGH MIDNIGHT BEFORE WE DRY OUT OVERNIGHT SUNDAY INTO MONDAY. RAIN CONTINUING INTO MONDAY, WE HAVE ISOLATED SHOWERS IN THE FORECAST AND A STRAY SHOWER ON TUESDAY. MOST OF THE DAY WILL BE DRY LOOKING AT CLOUDS FOR MONDAY AND TUESDAY WITH THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM OVERHEAD. THAT WILL KEEP US COOL, FEELING FALL-LIKE WITH LOW COMMITTED AND REFRESHING AIR. IT DOESN’T GET TOO HUMID FOR THE LAST PART OF THE WEEK MEANING 70’S AND SUNSHINE FEELING GREAT ON WEDNESDAY AND BACK TO MORE
