Willie Anderson’s Pro Football Hall of Fame candidacy endorsed

Former Bengals tackle Anthony Muñoz puts the Ring of Honor jacket on new inductee Willie Anderson during a halftime ceremony at the NFL Week 4 game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Miami Dolphins at PayCor Stadium in downtown on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022.

Willie Anderson, who played 12 of his 13 National Football League seasons for the Cincinnati Bengals, is receiving support for his Pro Football Hall of Fame candidacy from Michael Strahan, Bill Cowher, Cris Collinsworth and Mike Brown in a YouTube video posted by former Bengals offensive line coach Paul Alexander.

Anderson and fellow former Bengals Corey Dillon, James Harrison, Chad Johnson, Justin Smith and Takeo Spikes were named last month as Modern-Era Nominees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2023.

Anderson was a finalist for the 2022 class and a semifinalist for 2021 consideration. He was added along with former receiver Isaac Curtis to the Bengals' Ring of Honor during last week's win against the Miami Dolphins.

Alexander's YouTube video:

Anderson was the Bengals' "Ruler of the Jungle" for a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers last season.
