Cincinnati Bengals defensive back Chidobe Awuzie limped off the field with a knee injury late in the second quarter of the team's Monday Night Football loss to the Browns in Cleveland.
The Enquirer's Kelsey Conway reported via Twitter on Tuesday morning suffered a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season.
Awuzie, in his second season with the Bengals, headed to the blue tent for observation after trainers checked him out on the sideline. He went to the locker room on a cart a short time later, and the team declared him out for the rest of the game.
Tre Flowers replaced Awuzie. Flowers left the game during the second half with a right hamstring injury, and was declared out. As a result, rookie safety Dax Hill was forced to play cornerback.
