Former Xavier Musketeer guard Colby Jones has been drafted by the Charlotte Hornets in the second round of the 2023 NBA Draft.Jones was selected with the No. 34 overall pick.According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, the Hornets are trading the pick to the Boston Celtics, who are sending Jones to the Sacramento Kings.Jones posted a career year in 2022/23, setting career-highs in points per game (15.0) and assists per game (4.4). His 5.7 rebounds per game, while not a career mark, was good enough for third on Xavier this year, behind only Zach Freemantle (8.1), who missed the final two months of the regular season, and Jack Nunge (7.8).A career Musketeer, Jones averaged 12.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists over his three-year Xavier career, spanning 86 games.
