With a half-sack during Sunday's win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Carlos Dunlap, who spent the first 10 1/2 seasons of his National League Football career with the Cincinnati Bengals, became the eighth active NFL player with 100 career sacks.
Dunlap, who signed in July with the Chiefs, had 82.5 of his sacks with Cincinnati between 2010 and 2020. He has four sacks in nine games this season for Kansas City.
Dunlap and the Chiefs are scheduled to visit the Bengals at Paycor Stadium in an AFC title game rematch Dec. 4.
From the Chiefs via Twitter on Sunday:
The Bengals traded Dunlap in Oct. 2020 to the Seattle Seahawks for a seventh-round pick and offensive lineman B.J. Finney. Dunlap had five sacks in nine games for Seattle that season and sealed the Seahawks' win against the Arizona Cardinals with a sack of Kyler Murray.
Dunlap talked about his departure from Cincinnati and shared his thoughts about the organization in a 2021 interview with CBS Sports Radio's Zach Gelb.
