Light snow showers, flurries expected during Friday morning commute
INDIANA ON SATURDAYS. KELLY: AHEAD OF ALL OF THE GAMES. IT WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE AND I HAVE A FEELING THAT PLACES WILL BE BUSY ON JANUARY 1. AND IT IS FEELING LIKE JANUARY 1 THIS WEEKEND. RANDI: INDEED, OUR TEMPERATURES ARE ABOVE -- AROUND FREEZING. IT FEELS LIKE WE HAVE MADE IT INTO THE NEW YEAR. AS WE LOOK AT THE RADAR THIS MORNING, WE ARE ALSO TRACKING FLURRIES AND LIGHT’S SHOULD KNOW SHOWERS -- LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS. RIGHT NOW THEY ARE FOCUSED TO THE EAST SO YOU CAN SEE EASTERN PORTIONS OF HIGHLAND COUNTY, HILLSBORO TO RAINSBORO DOWNED THROUGH SELF, YOU’RE PROBABLY SEEING OCCASIONAL FLURRIES FLYING OR PICKING UP AS THEY HAD TOWARDS CHILLICOTHE. AS WE GO FURTHER INTO HIGHLAND COUNTY, A COUPLE OF FLURRIES BUT NOTHING REALLY SUBSTANTIAL. KEEP IN MIND THE RED TEMPERATURES ARE FREEZING SO AS YOU SEE THE LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS COME THROUGH, THEY MAY STICK TO THE ROAD A LITTLE BIT. THAT POTENTIAL WILL BE A LITTLE GREATER ALONG THE I-70 CORRIDOR. THAT IS WHERE WE ARE SEEING A MORE SUBSTANTIAL LINE OF SNOW SHOWERS THAT ARE MOVING DUE EAST. IT IS A COLD FRONT COMING THROUGH THIS MORNING THAT WILL PICK UP THE WINDS AND GIVE US POTENTIAL FOR SNOW SHOWERS. RIGHT NOW TEMPERATURES ACROSS GREATER CINCINNATI ARE SITTING CLOSE TO FREEZING. IT IS 31 AT CBD BUT COUNTING THE NINE MILE PER HOUR WINDS, IT FEELS LIKE 23. FEELS LIKE TEMPERATURE WILL BE A BIGGER DEAL THAN THE FACT THAT WE WILL SEE LIGHT SNOW FLURRIES TODAY. FEELS LIKE 23 MID AFTERNOON SO DRESS FOR THE FACT IT WILL FEEL LIKE THE 20’S IF YOU’RE HEADED OUT TONIGHT TO THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS OR THE GAME FOR THE PLAYOFFS, WE PLAN FOR THE TEMPERATURES TO BE DOWN TO THE TEENS. THE FUTURECAST SHOWING THIS MOVING IN AT 8:00 A.M., THE UPTICK IN THE SNOW SHOWERS ROLLING THROUGH. THEY WILL BE HERE FOR THE MORNING DRIVE. THE FUTURECAST TRIES TO ENHANCE THEM AS THEY MOVE EAST ON THE MORNING COMMUTE. SOME POTENTIAL TO HAVE SOME SLOW SPOTS THROUGHOUT THE MORNING. THIS LINE GETS OUT OF HERE BY LUNCHTIME AND THE BREEZY CONDITIONS ARE AROUND THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. SKIES CLEAR OUT AS WE GO THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS AND THAT LEADS TO A COLD START ON SATURDAY MORNING. MANY COMMUNITIES DOWN SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 18 AND 20 DEGREES FOR THE AIR TEMPERATURE AND IT WILL STILL BE WINDY TOMORROW. ON SATURDAY, WINDY AND COLD WITH THE HIGH NEAR THE MID UPPER 30’S BUT THROUGH THE DAY IT WILL FEEL LIKE 15 TO 23 DEGREES. IT WILL FEEL FREEZING COLD ON SUNDAY. FOR TODAY, 33 DEGREES FOR A HIGH, WINDY AND COLD, FEELS LIKE TEMPERATURES HANGING OUT RIGHT AROUND 20. WE WILL DROP DOWN TO 18 DEGREES TONIGHT AND KEEP IT COLD THROUGH THE WEEKEND WITH THE SUNSHINE. THE GOOD NEWS IS THINGS WILL FALL OUT AS WE GET TO THANKSGIVING. WE HAVE THE 50’S STARTING ON TUESDAY AND RIGHT NOW THE THANKSGIVING FORECAST, INCREASING CLOUDS BUT ALMOST 60 WITH RAIN M
Light snow showers, flurries expected during Friday morning commute
Light snow showers and flurries are coming down on a chilly, windy Friday morning across Cincinnati. The precipitation could impact make roadways slick, especially around the I-75 corridor, as the snow may stick a little bit as the street temperatures are subfreezing. Before heading out to work or school, do bundle up a bit more than usual as temperatures aren't expected to get above freezing at any point through the day.
