Whether you start the day by watching a larger-than-life parade or end with a nostalgic film, TV programs and movies hold a special place in many of our Thanksgiving Day traditions.
Thanksgiving is on Thursday, Nov. 24, this year. The annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will launch in New York City at 9 a.m. and air on both NBC and CBS. Football fans will have their pick of three games, starting with the Buffalo Bills vs. Detroit Lions at 12:30 p.m.
Thursday marks the start of holiday-themed movies on several TV channels, while other classics, like "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving," can be enjoyed on streaming services.

How to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
The 2022 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade starts at 9 a.m. and wraps up at noon on Nov. 24.
NBC will broadcast the parade with Samantha Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker as hosts. Broadway casts of “Funny Girl,” “Lion King,” “A Beautiful Noise” and “Some Like It Hot" will be featured.
CBS will also broadcast the parade with Kevin Frazier and Keltie Knight hosting, with music from the Broadway casts of “Moulin Rouge” and “Six: the Musical.”
This year's parade will feature 12 bands, 10 performance groups and 28 floats, often with celebrities onboard. Jimmy Fallon with the Roots, Mario Lopez, Gloria Estefan and more will be included.

How to stream "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving"
"A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" can be streamed on Apple TV. Last month, Apple announced nonsubscribers will be able to watch the Thanksgiving special for free from Nov. 23-27.
Apple acquired three Charlie Brown holiday specials, "A Charlie Brown Christmas," "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" and "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown," in 2020. Nonsubscribers can also watch "A Charlie Brown Christmas" for free Dec. 22-25.

Buffalo Bills vs. Detroit Lions:
Kickoff is at 12:30 p.m. at Ford Field in Detroit. Broadcast on CBS.
New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys:
Kickoff is at 4:30 p.m. at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Broadcast on Fox.
New England Patriots vs. Minnesota Vikings:
Kickoff is at 8:20 p.m. at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Broadcast on NBC.
