Asdrubal Cabrera clotheslines home run hitter in Venezuela brawl

Asdrubal Cabrera with the Reds in 2021.

Asdrubal Cabrera, who last played in Major League Baseball for the Cincinnati Reds in 2021, reacted to a Venezuelan Professional Baseball League opponent's home run celebration by clotheslining him as he rounded first base and starting a brawl.

Cabrera, who turned 37 last week, was playing infield for Caribes de Anzoategui when Tiburones de La Guaira's Carlos Castro admired his homer, flipped his bat and stared at the Caribes dugout.

Cabrera met Castro near first base and sent him to the ground with one punch.
