Man arrested, charged with murder after Memorial Day shooting in Norwood


A man has been arrested and charged with murder after a shooting on Memorial Day left another man dead in Norwood.On Monday, Norwood police said Brandon Dodson was arrested Saturday and charged with murder in relation to the shooting death of Douglas Palmer Jr. on May 29.Dodson has been transferred to the Hamilton County Justice Center.Norwood police say they were called to a home in the 5100 block of Hunter Ave. around 1 a.m. on May 29, where they found a man had been shot in the chest.He was taken to UC Medical Center, where he died.Neighbors said they heard people arguing, followed by one gunshot. Afterward, neighbors said people scattered from the home.
