Gloomy Skies Linger
STEVEN: ANOTHER FANTASTIC WAY TO HELP OUT AND GIVE BACK, THOSE PARENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO GIVE TO THEIR KIDS. KELLY: SUCH A GREAT THING TO DO. WE KNOW PEOPLE ARE SHOPPING FOR OTHERS, FOR THEIR FAMILY. MORE GLOOM TODAY. BUT BY THE WEEKEND, WE WILL FINALLY SEE THE SUNSHINE AGAIN. RANDI: WE ARE KIND OF TRADING OFF HERE. WE HAVE TEMPERATURES NOT SO BAD IN THE 50’S, EVEN WITH GRAY SKIES. BY THE WEEKEND, SUNSHINE RETURNS AND TEMPERATURES TAKE A STEP BACK TO THE 40’S. NOT BAD. AS WE TAKE A LOOK THROUGH CITY CAM, LOOKING AT FOUNTAIN SQUARE. THAT WAS AN EASY ONE TO NAIL EVEN WITH THE FOG. YOU CAN SEE THE WATER THEY ARE THE ICE-SKATING RINK. DOWNTOWN FOG NOT AS THICK AS IT WAS THIS TIME YESTERDAY, BUT IT WILL CONTINUE TO BE AN ISSUE FOR US THIS MORNING. THE VISIBILITY MAP RIGHT NOW SHOWING NORTHERN KENTUCKY AS A SPOT WITH VISIBILITY DOWN SUBSTANTIALLY. CVG HAS BEEN REPORTING ANYWHERE BETWEEN 0.25 MILES AND ONE MILE VISIBILITY. YOU COULD BE ENCOUNTERING THICKER FOG. SAME THING CURRENTLY OVER IN PORTIONS OF HIGHLAND COUNTY. SOME RAIN OVERNIGHT, BUT THAT CAME TO AN END ABOUT 3 A.M. OR SO, MOVING OUT OF ADAMS COUNTY. WHILE WE WERE ACTUALLY NEAR 60 DEGREES IN SOME OF THESE EASTERN TOWNS THIS MORNING, NOW UPPER 50’S, SETTLING INTO THE LOW 50’S HERE INSIDE THE 275 LOOP. PLAN ON TEMPERATURES TO FALL DOWN AROUND 50 DEGREES OR SO AND HANG OUT THERE. THE FOG IS EXPECTED TO LINGER THERE ABOUT 10 A.M.. YOU WILL NOT REALLY NOTICE A DIFFERENCE BECAUSE WHEN THE FOG LEAVES, WE ARE STILL STUCK WITH LOW CLOUDS. CLOUDY SKIES TO THE DAY AND TEMPERATURES UP TO 50 THIS AFTERNOON. WE ARE LOCKED INTO THIS GLOOMY PATTERN UP INTO THE WEEKEND. ROUNDS OF RAIN WILL BE COMING OUR WAY. TODAY WILL BE DRIER THAN YESTERDAY, BUT TOMORROW ANOTHER SYSTEM MOVES THROUGH AND BRINGS ADDITIONAL RAINFALL BY THE TIME WE GET TO THURSDAY AFTERNOON. FOR TOMORROW, SAME OLD SAME OLD. BY LUNCHTIME, HERE COMES THE RAIN. I ANTICIPATE STEADIER RAIN MID AFTERNOON, SHOWERS LINGERING INTO THURSDAY EVENING. A WETTER OUTLOOK FOR US FOR THURSDAY. TODAY, 53 AND MORNING FOG. IT WILL BE CLOUDY AND MAY BE A LITTLE BIT OF DRIZZLE. TONIGHT, DROPPING TO 43 DEGREES, CLOUDY SKIES. TOMORROW, A WEATHER IMPACT DAY JUST BECAUSE WE HAVE RAIN AROUND THROUGH THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. TEMPERATURES TOMORROW A LITTLE BIT ON THE COOLER SIDE AS WELL. WE SPEND THURSDAY IN THE 40’S, WITH THAT RAIN THREAT SPECIFICALLY IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE DAY. LOOKING TOWARD FRIDAY, SCATTERED SHOWERS, A BOOST IN TEMPERATURES THERE. SATURDAY, SO MUCH GOING ON. A STRAY SPRINKLE IS A POSSIBILITY, BUT NOTICE SOME SUNSHINE BACK IN THE FORECAST. FOR SUNDAY’S BENGALS-BROWN SKIN, TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW. KICKOFF TEMPERATURES IN THE MID-40’S. FEELS LIKE MID-DECEMBE
Another dreary looking day with fog and low clouds. Rain returns tomorrow.
